I have been an NRA member but a passing comment regarding GOA is taking the spotlight made me check them out too. And then I was given a link to KABA so now I'm confused and I'm sure there are more organizations worth joining and supporting. Any opinions?

The NRA is still the best in town and they know how to work with the other gun groups like the SAF, SAS, JPFO and the Citizen's Committee. No group can do it alone but the NRA has more programs and is in more of the fights, whether it's local, state or national.

It worth the price of a box or two of practice ammo/year to join as many as you can. If you don't you may not have a reason to be buying any type of ammo in the future.

NRA

They're the biggest player in the game right now.

GOA, no compromises, EVER.

The NRA on the other hand, is more like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman..

27 years of no compromise

That is GOA's slogan. :)

Join the one(s) that you feel best fits your views. If that means you have to join them all so that your political voice can be sounded (at least by proxy), join them all.

Hello All.

See sig line. I mean, come on, it's less than $100 altogether. I used to spend more than that on cigarettes, in a MONTH!

1) NRA can make the best use of membership numbers.

2) GOA can get you the most "no compromise" for your dollar.

3) KABA.com is an information and news POWERHOUSE!

Note to Oleg: I would also gladly pay for The High Road. Just say the word.:D

My vote went for all.

Current member:

NRA

GOA

KABA

LEAA (Law Enforcement Alliance of America)

JPFO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership)

SAF (Second Amendment Foundation)

CCRKBA (Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms)

That's all I could afford this year. Aside from membership I try to send the occaisional contribution, usually to GOA or JPFO.

They all seem to do good work, and there are others out there I haven't hit yet (and with the economy being sucked down a hole, may not get to for a while) like SAS (Second Amendment Sisters), Pink Pistols, and any other group that in some way supports the right. My personal taste runs to the "no compromise" end of the spectrum, but any one will do ya.:)
