Heckler and Koch unveiled this new USP at the Shot Show..
( I just pulled this information off of HKPro.com )
http://www.hkpro.com/shotusp9t.jpg

9mm USP SD, a 9mm version of the .45 tactical with Brügger & Thomet suppressor. The only difference will be the threaded barrel and high adjustable sights for suppressor clearance. Indications are also that the slide will not be marked any differently than the standard USP9.

it would be nice if the slide was marked 'TACTICAL' like the USP45 TACTICAL

SD? Suppressed? Special duty? South Dakota?

SD="Schalldaempfer", German for "sound suppressor".

SD -- Suddenly Desirable! ;) Maybe all I need is a threaded barrel (a suppressor & tall adjustable sights)?

How about an o-ring barrel? The high end USPs usually come w/ o-ring barrel...this one too?

10-Ring, I imagine that since the USP45 Tactical has one, that this gun will have an "o-ring barrel" as well..;)

yum yum, gimme some!

Now I have a real reason to buy a USP in 9mm! A high dollar no-label tactical...very slickety-slick! Kinda like clothes from the Gap. Maybe HK can erase the "tactical" from the slide of my USP45tac, and replace it with "SD"?

I want TACTICAL engraved on my P7, USP45C and my car and even a tattoo.

SD = Skunkabilly Defense

I wonder if one of those cans will fit on a threaded Beretta barrel? :D :D :D

How about "Skunktical"......has a great ring to it!

Although the .45acp Tactical with a supressor is pretty high up on the coolness scale, I think a 9mm version makes more sense. Wonder what the dB level differences are between the two?

Suppressed USP9. Reason #253 to leave California.

Actually, .45ACP is more desirable for suppressed use. It's a low velocity round to begin with, and uses heavy bullets.

If you the top speed your bullet can have is the speed of sound, it's better to have the heaviest bullet possible. A 230 grain bullet at 950 feet per second (.45ACP +P) beats a 147 grain bullet at the same speed.

According to Larry at CCF this gun will NOT have an o-ring barrel...:uhoh:

Yeah, just noticed in the pic that there's no o-ring...how disappointing :rolleyes: Since that's the case, why not just get a threaded barrel from Bar sto (for example), match trigger, a suppressor and the adjustable sights for the Tac? Wouldn't that be a similar result?

And it doesn't even say the T word on it :D

That looks like one heckuva large can!

Anyone got an idea on how much the suppresor will/does retail for?
