You think I pick up a pair of those grips at Cheaper than Dirt?

I don't really like it... Is it just me?
I mean, I would take it, of course...
But, for 40 Grand, I would hope for something a lot better looking...

Does $40 grand sound high? I was thinking of ordering a dozen.

Yep. Pop in some handloads and go knock some (Wedgwood?) pie plates off the ol' fence. ;)
Seriously, those sculpted orchid grips are very graceful. This would be just the thing with an heiress's dark blue ballgown.
A double-action brooch, as it were.

There I was minding my own business. Lurking without signing in. It was so ugly I had to log in to comment. Its ugly. Its hideous. It begs the question WHY ? - and the answer is not "because you can".

I hate when that happens to a working revolver... it turns it into a paperweight for all practical purposes.
Makes a boy sad. :(

For $40K I expect a lot of engraving consisting of acanthus leaves (or oak leaves), c-scrolls, s-scrolls around relief carved images as well as gold inlays and a "little" bit of wire inlay to help accent the key features. I've seen better from the black powder crowd.
Still, if they let me have it for $1k, I wouldn't refuse. Figure that the Diamondback alone is $500 and so it's worth it for that much.:p

It's almost like a bad joke; some anti's at the wine and cheese tasting decided to use their computer graphics skills to desecrate a picture of one of those "nasty" handguns. Must have been a real hand-wringer finding someone with a decent photo to use.
