For Fathers Day, I got a CZ Tactical. Unfortunately, on the 14th I came down with 3 bulged discs in my back and I've been off work on disability since. Bored out of my mind, but thankful for a laptop with a wireless internet and all these great gun boards to keep my somewhat entertained.

For the past three days, I have been able to get up and about relatively well and decided to take the 10 minute drive down to the local range to try my new CZ. Mistake!

The first 100 rounds went well, but the last 150 were down hill as my back got progressively worse. I was just too stubborn to go home with ammo. I was determined to fire all 250 rounds for reliability.

From the start it became obvious that someone forgot to tell my CZ she was a combat pistol and not a target one! The trigger will never be mistaken for a 1911 with the take up and reset, but it is still rather smooth and light. The accuracy was great. I know in capable hands it will do much much better, but at 30' I was able to keep an entire 15 round magazine into a 4" circle off hand fired relatively quickly. For me, this is good shooting. My groups at 25 yards were a little more then twice as large, but by this time my back was aching and I was in a lot of pain.

I finished all 250 rounds with not a single hiccup on the pistols part. Flawless feeding and extraction. All I've done is replace the recoil spring with a Wolff one, bent the managzine break so mags falls free, and added the Hakan grips.

This was the last of my Speer Gold Dot 147gr JHP "Practice Only" ammo. I have a lot of the 115gr left. That is a great deal from Ammoman. Fires very very clean and is very accurate. Nice to have a premium rounds at practice prices.

Anyway, I back at home and just took my pain pills. Not going to tell my wife or my doc I went out today. Don't need to hear the "I told you so" speech. Needless to say, I have been painfully reminded why I'm on disability.

In the end it is nice to know I've got a winner in this pistol! Most accurate semi-auto I currently own and the least expensive as well!
