Anyone else get a certain sense of pride and contentment when they finish up a 1 lb can of powder?

I have been on a reloading binge lately and have been finishing up about a pound of powder a night recently. As I take the empty can out to be recycled, it always is kind of fun and contented to finish another one off. I then go to the "bunker" and get another pound and usually quit for the night.

It certainly is fun to finish up a pound and pack it away!

(For what its worth, I have been loading 10mm, 45 acp, and 40 S&W lately, almost 900 rnds of 40 S&W tonight and I have about 3000 rnds left to go in 40 till I attack the 357sig (easily 8000 rnds to load there!!!))

Gettin to the bottom of the can is very dangerous for me, as I have to pass by racks and racks of firearms to get another can.
My wallet trembles, the credit cards go to red alert........................

Although it does feel good,I'm with Delmar it only means Im now one less jug of powder and now have to look into replacing it.My supply levels need to be kept up with at all times.

I buy it in 8lb cans these days.

Limited storeage space for the 8 lb bottles led me to continue buying 1 lb containers. I have about 15 lbs stockpiled right now so it is getting close to another order time.

I made a mistake building my "bunker" so that 8 lb cans don't fit well. Since it was a custom buiild project, I just said the heck with it and stayed buying 1 lb bottles.

'Speakin of powder',,,, I hear the press a calling....

I enjoy emptying my 12 pound cans and I have given some to friends to varnish and make lamps of as they are conversation objects. At my age now I have more that I will not be able to use but I can only sell them to comeone local to central california.

I like getting to the end of a pound because that means I can burn the last bit of the can. The kids and I take a coal bucket out into the driveway, pour the powder into it in small lots, and light it. The fire usually leaps about three feet high, and everything looks yellow for a while after a burn session. We'll probably do this tomorrow night in honor of Independence Day.

Buying it by the pound allows one to continue the quest for the 'perfect load'.:)
also,means another trip to the 'candy store'.I only have a few guns so going and seeing more is still high on my entertainment list.;)
