What's a good handgun (centerfire) factory match ammo?
Remington, Winchester, Cor-bon?
45, 38, 44?

What kind of match?

If for bullseye, Federal .45 ACP 185 grain FMJ SWC is pretty much the industry standard. They also list a "Match Hardball" for "leg" events.
Federal, Remington, and Winchester all list a .38 Special 148 grain HBWC for PPC and bullseye.
I think Federal makes a .44 Magnum silhouette load.

If you mean something fast moving like IPSC, you need reliability more than the last bit of accuracy, and must also make power factor. Regular ball ammo is fine.

The only true "match grade" ammo that you're likely to find commercially available will be .22 LR/Short, .45ACP, and maybe .32 or .38. .22 and .45 ACP are required for bullseye shooting, with some people shooting .32 or .38 pistols for the open centerfire portion. Most will simply opt to shoot the .45 ACP for both centerfire events, however.

Also, most competitive pistol shooters load their own (except the .22 stuff of course.)

This is, of course, assuming that you're planning on shooting something akin to competitive bullseye. Like mentioned previously, if you're shooting IPSC or some other form of action pistol event accuracy doesn't need to be as high. Of course, it never hurts, either. :)

I'd guess at least 90% of the center fire ammunition fired in all matches across the country is home-loaded: it's less expensive and better.

In .45acp Federal Gold Medal is considered by many to be tops.
