For those of you that want one, www.cdnninvestments.com has them in their newest catalog for 699.99. I haven't seen them that cheap anywhere else. I don't really want one, but I am sure someone here does!

Not a big fan of the 5.7 cartridge but I think the P90 is a really clever design. Now if I can just find a semi-auto P90 w/ a 16" barrel so I don't have to deal with all the NFA BS and the AWB needs to go away so I can get magazines for it. Then I'd just have to come up with the money :uhoh:
Damn, OK, maybe I don't want them to do that :D

The 5.7 is a neat pistol (I have one in my big safe right now, matter of fact). Cute little round, but too large of a pistol with downright silly controls.
No real reason to have one, IMO. Ergonometrics are nowhere near a 1911...heck, they are not even as "good" as a Glock ;) A P90, on the other hand...

I liked the single action trigger on the 5.7 IOM much better than the factory Glocks. The little safety switch isn't much for putting your mind at piece with cocked and locked carry though. It felt like it could accidentally be switched to fire too easily.
Maybe if enough civvies buy the 5.7 IOM FN will release a semi-auto long barrel P90 for us. I suspect the whole deal with the IOM and 10 round mags is because military sales of the 5.7x28mm weapons isn't going as well as FN wanted so they are making up for it by selling to us peons. They already convinced Winchester to start making 5.7mm JHP rounds, you can order them from www.cheaperthandirt.com. Maybe you can start finding the 5.7mm ammo on store shelves soon.

I liked that pistol a great deal when I handled it. Design seemed really smart and was comfortable. Unfortunately, the round is expensive and it seems like such a waste to be able to hold 20 in a mag but only "allowed" to have 10.

I don't see this selling much, somehow.
---I like the idea myself, but mostly what I shoot is rimfire target guns, so I don't have any of the reloading equipment I'd need to make shooting this thing very economical. I'd much prefer a decent conventional handgun in 17HMR.
---And people I know who lean towards centerfire guns don't want to pay this much to shoot paper and..... squirrels.

So did they download this cartridge to make it importable?

They just replaced the bullet with a soft point version instead of steel + aluminum core.
