Just skimming through a catalog for some retailer, & they had new P-90's for $1400(of course leo/mil only)...so my q. is are there any semi-auto varients that are legal(or would something like that be restricted by the import ban?).
Just looks like an interesting/novel firearm...

It's not the import ban. FN has an American plant. But they don't sell any semi-auto versions that I'm aware of.

I called a rep at FN about a year ago on that topic. He said that there were no plans. He did say they were looking at a civilian version of the P-2000. One thing he pointed out, they would have had to add a really long barrel to get it to the minimum OAL.
I would love to see a conversion kit for the M-1 carbine that would look like the P-90. Yes, I know that there is an Israeli Bullpup version, but I would like an aftermarket stock, and maybe a permanent fake suppressor to get the minimum barrel length.
