Traded of my GP today

It was something that I wasn't too sure if I wanted to do or not up until today. Yeah, I had it advertised on the for sale area but I felt if nobody bit then "oh well". I had a real hankerin' to get another shotgun after getting rid of my 870 18in Home Defense to my step dad a few months back. Guess what? That's what I'm getting; another 870 HD but, this one is the one with the 7 round magazine. It was hard to part with the GP but the guy at the shop offered me the brand new shot gun and a "nice case". All told, both the shotgun and the case would have cost more than what I was getting offered for the GP via private e-mail so, I feel good about the deal. After getting the 27-2 3.5in, I didn't see the need to keep two full sized .357 so, the GP was the expendable firearm.
Flip.

I sold my Inox Brig to get another compact type M -- hard to do but the best decision I've made. I have a 686 4" so I didn't need another range gun -- the M is a better gun for carry and fits my hand like a glove. Believe me, you can never have enough of the right gun.
You'll have to let me know how the Remy 870 feels to shoot. My father wants one of those and I plan to buy him one when I get working. Hope it doesn't take his arm off with the recoil.....:uhoh:

I'm in the process of getting a set of used but exelent condition wood 870 stock set for it. I'm not too crazy about the synthetic stocks that will come with it. I don't have it yet. The store had to special order it for me. I'm sure it will shoot like my last HD. It kicks like a mule.

Maybe I should get my father a revolver to go with this HD -- just in case it has too much kick....:uhoh:

Just get him light ammo and a handgun too if you want. ;)

I sold my GP too. Truthfully, I don't miss it one little tiny bit. Sure, it was quite possibly the most accurate revolver I have ever owned, and yes it was strong but I just don't miss it even a little.
I much prefer the S&W K-frames. Send the GP down the river, pick up a USED 870 and a USED K-frame, you may have to kick in a hundred bucks to get it done but a year from now let us know how you feel about the decision.
