I'm planning a trip to Alaska in a few months and want to know the process for driving through Canada part of the way with a longarm. I've heard there's a process and a fee ($50?), but was wondering what the fine points were. Whom do I contact? How long ahead of time is it necessary to do so? Is the fee per gun or inclusive? I'll be traveling in a station wagon and a trunk isn't an option, so what would appropriate concealment mean? Thanks.

I don't know... I thought you can't take firearms into Kanada at all. I'm kind'a interested to get the straight scoop on this one also.

Anyone.... Anyone...??

ed,
See if the .pdf form or any of those links under "General Information" contained therein have the info you need. Like No# 4 & 5 in the second link.
