What's wrong with Black Talon? I am using 124gr Federal HS, just because there's nothing else that we can buy in the local shops... I have seen some +P+ Black Talon ammo on gunbroker, is there something I should know about that ammo?

Oh, and by the way - the grips are gorgeous. I've been thinking about getting a matching grip sets form my SA 1911 and BHP. The only problem is that BHP is blued, and 1911 is stainless...

What's wrong with Black Talon?

There's nothing wrong with Black Talon. The thing is, the new Ranger ammo that replaced the Talon has a better bullet design, it's fresh ammo and most of the Talon load data I've seen is pretty anemic. I think that Gold Dot bullets are an improvement over it as well.

It's hilarious that people will pay $40 for half a box of it, (thinking they've got a box of deathrays) when newer much improved ammo is available.

You can find Ranger ammo alot easier than Black Talon and it's always cheaper.
