Would YOU buy this?

How about a Browning (P-35 type) "linkless" system in a 1911-pattern pistol in 10mm automatic? This is, of course, identical to the Springfield Armory/Peters-Stahl (of Germany) arrangment manufactured in the early 1990's.
Would you buy such a beast? Would it have a viable place in today's pistol market?

I broached this subject because a proper "dwell" length, (time before the barrel drops out of lockup) may pemit the rearward slide velocity to be reduced. This, in turn, would lessen the impact of the slide against the frame. If used in conjuncion with proper heat treatment, the pistol's frame, (and consequently it's life) would increase.
Such an engineering arrangement would bear consideration.
