I have a pretty old bullet and I cant figure out what it is. It looks just like a .22 LR but its shorter, the rim is much thicker and bigger around. It looks as though it has a copper spray on finish on the bullet. On the bottom of the rim is a diamond stamped in. I think its .22 caliber but it wont chamber in a .22 because of the case is too large. Oh yeah, its rimfire also. Please help me figure this out. :)

.32 Rimfire made for a Colt New-Line or SW Model 2... that's just a guess without seeing a pic.

I dont think its .32 rimfire. I have some of that and Im sure thats not what it is. It is .22 caliber I believe. When you hold it up against a .22 LR they look as to be the same diameter bullet.

Sounds like a .22 short.
Here's a pic ... .22 short on left, .22 LR on the right

.25 Stevens Rimfire, maybe? If not one of a couple other odd .22 rimfires.
See http://www.ammo-one.com/RimfireCartridge.html and look at the second page for the Stevens .25 offerings.

Probably a .22 Winchester Auto. Chambered in the 1903 or 1906 Winchester pump rifle. Obsolete for a very long time. Every now and then Remmy or Win does a run of the cartridges. Looks like a short .22 mag. round.

I know its not a .22 short:scrutiny: or a .41 rimfire. I'm kinda thinkin it may be what Lee Lapin said it was.
EDIT: After looking over the website it looks like the .22 Winchester auto maybe.
