It has been easy and rewarding to do, no more difficult than any other straight walled revolver cartridge.
There is data for this cartridge in the loading manuals from Sierra, Hornady,Speer, Hodgdon, and Accurate Arms to name but a few.
Furthermore, the 32 S&W LONG is a beautiful subload for the 32MAG and in many ways is a damsite more interesting.

The powders I like best are 800X and LIL'GUN.
Work up in .1 gr increments.
Things change in a hurry.
There are some good loads in a thread I started . . .

I have Rugers in 32 H&R Mag and have used Herco and AA #7 with Herco being my favorite. Try to find a SHOOTING TIMES issue March 1991. It has good information on what can be done with this cartridge. The test gun was a S&W 16-4 (no longer made) but Rugers will have the strength of it.
