This might be a repost, if so, just ignore it.

Here is a pic or two of a golden AK found somewhere in one of Saddam's palaces....

"da switch"

I'd heard of some soldier trying to sneak those out of Iraq and getting caught, but I hadn't seen them yet.

I thought it was a hilarious idea and very Saddam-ish. Taking one of the most utilitarian rifles in existence and covering it in gold is about like having a gold plated pick-up, it's just complete absurdity.

BTW how heavy do you guys think that thing is?

I can't decide if that is pretty or just pretty ugly. I can't imagine any soldier ever carrying that thing.

I can't decide if that AK is Pretty, or just pretty ugly.

1. Looks too... dainty... for an AK.

2. Is "da Switch" just another term for the full-auto setting, or something? I've never been able to get somebody to explain that to me.

Yes, "da switch" is a running joke about BubbaAtTheGunShow, trying to buy an AK with 'da switch'. Bubba keeps asking everybody selling an AK style rifle "Yeah, but does it have da switch?"

Who says you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear? :)

Are you sure that's not Trump's AK...............:D

It must be tough to get additional matching mags for that thing

Gold leaf isn't that expensive.

It's ~26 bucks for a pack that can cover 39.5 square feet. So you could probably coat the kash and a few magazines for ~26 plus labor. It wouldn't be incredably durable, but are you going to be shooting that under anything but an emergency?

With a torch you can even get rid of the lines.

Or, you could always get the spray on gold at wal-mart, 3.49

Next to the real thing, the fake gold spray isn't that great looking...

It has GOT to be cheaper than a gold or titanium gold Deagle. Which is the pimpest weapon known to man IMO.
