one of them i had once upon a time (the M model) just bought a Comp XL for pretty cheap (its blue)

they look very similar to me. what are the major differences? i would assume the M (military?) model would be more rugged?

I believe one is setup for night vision,thats the only difference.

Yes, the M has 7 adjustment (brightness) levels for normal vision and two that can be seen with night vision only.

The normal use is to leave it on the gun all the time and when night comes around take your PVS-14 pocketscope and mount it right behind it. Now you have a night vision dot. Like this:

Oh, and unless you have night-vision money, which I do not, you don't need to spend the extra money on one.

so they are the same cept mines a much more uber tactical metallic blue ;)

i figure i'll get some night vision at some point, guess i'll need to buy a new red dot then :D
