Ok folks,

Before my darn SA1911 broke on me I did get a couple velocity readings from my chronograph.

Remington 230gr FMJ out of a full size 1911.
1. 852
2. 843
3. 832
4. 845
5. 856

Average= 845.6 FPS

Accuracy was good. I did however notice a few sparks going downrange from powder flakes. The same thing was evident when firing the 9mm out of the Kahr T9.

Ok..here are the figures for the Remington 100rd Box of 115gr 9mm JHP. Gun used was a Kahr T9. 4.0" Barrel.

1. 1154
2. 1149
3. 1134
4. 1138
5. 1158

Average=1146.6 FPS

Now the figures from a 14.5" barrel 9mm AR15 . Remington 115gr JHP, 100rd bulk pack.

1. 1312
2. 1297
3. 1294
4. 1307
5. 1317

Average= 1305 FPS

This 115gr 9mm JHP load only gains an average of 159 FPS for an extra 10" barrel length. Still, 1300 fps is still respectable.

Also, the 9mm is packaged in two 50rd trays within the box, instead of the loose rounds of the Winchester bulk packs.

Thanks for posting the chrono reports. :)

Looks like it's just a hair shy of 115gr. Winchester White Box value packs.

Are these boxes marked UMC or are they actually marked Remington? I haven't been to Walmart in a couple months.

Howdy Wondernine,

They're headstamped R-P and come in the green box. Kelie picked up a box for me just 'cause she's nice, and that's what they were when I opened'em up. Haven't shot'em yet, so that's about all I can say for now...

Luck!
