A friend just brought in a knife that his grandfather owned. SS blade, but the handle looks/feels like some effort was made in the production.,,,nice sheath too.
The blade and sheath both have the name KHYBER. He says that he tried several searches over the weekend with no result. I have not searched myself, just thought I'd see if the name meant anything to anyone here.
Appreciate any information or direction to search.

The Khyber pass is along the Pakistani/Afghan border, and they've been making blades for centuries (good ones too) but without seeing a picture, can't say anything.

Hi,

Khyber was a lower cost Japanese imprt marketed by Ka-Bar. You might want to ask them for specifics.

That could be it too...... hadn't ever heard of anyone using that as a brand name.
