Ya, tactify that thing up a bit...grind it in the mud, and then paint it flat black with BBQ grill paint. That will bring out the tactical-ness of it real quick.:p

Oh! I didn't know.:o
So what's the deal with it? Is it going into production or is it a custom job?

I am looking for a 9mm to use in ceterfire Bullseye matches and I think this may do it if it is accurate. Too bad they are fixed sights. :banghead:

Firestar, you can get factory adjustables. You'll have to order them from a guy from Italy but he has a solid reputation.

Is it there just to accomodate the rollmarked safety instructions? :scrutiny:

G98, no mine has that too. May be for the locking block wings.

Damn!!! I just started paperwork on the Elite 1A. That is going to be my bullseye competition piece. Then this piece comes out !!!! Damn !!!

I don't suppose they can add 1/4 inch of trigger travel and re-name this as the DAO, steel vertec. ;)

I LOVE the frame safety !!!!! And...wheres the accessory rail ??? :D

How much is this going to cost?

Does the Vertec take Beretta 92 mags?

Skunkabilly
February 17, 2003, 01:21 PM
Mags should be compatible as with all series 92 arms. No word on cost it was just debuted at SHOT. Maybe JeffOTMG has some word on cost?

I keep coming back to this thread just to look at that gun one more time. I am really taken with it. I haven't seen too many new guns that get me exited anymore.

Guns I want now:
1. That Beretta!
2. Kel-Tec P3-AT
3. Kahr PM9
4. Some target 9MM (I am still trying to decide)

I really want a Billenium too bad I'm stuck here in the mean time...i'll try to find one NIB. Billeniums were about $1100+ so I'm guessing this Vertec will be that much? Just a guess.

You can't shoot Production with this so you'll be stuck being scored minor against limited shooters. Not sure what IDPA division this will fall under.

Is the frame steel? That's a first.

Skunkabilly
February 18, 2003, 08:56 PM
Handy, the Billenium and I think the Stock and Combat (Euro competition models) have steel frames.

All you need is Pearl grips and some Gold Plated parts.:)

Schuey2002

...and the word(s) Elite/Expert/ or Tactical stamped onto its slide.;)

Skunkabilly, if it's a SA pistol, then it should be placed in the ESP category. Unless I've totally missed something...

Happy shooting!:D

Funny how they don't put any of this stuff on their websites. I could only find the 92 and the version with the barrel weight. No Elite, Vertec, etc.
