I've acquired a CZ 75 B SA...9mm. Nice gun, I thought it was just another typical CZ full size....different to me, as I have only owned Compacts and 83's. Although, I havent owned any full sized guns, Ive shot many CZ's...most of them actually except this one and a 97. I was not expecting much better than what I usually shot with the larger guns..sometimes "fairly well"
.
Well let me tell you something folks.....I have shot "race" guns....My pop owns a custom Les Baer...shoot it regularly...the BFR Maxine 45-70 Govt 10" barrel revolver I shoot once in a while will cut a playing card in 1/2 at 20 yds.....Ive shot some accurate guns.
The CZ SA for a 450$ gun....is a freakin tack driver. I use Shoot n C targets ...the smallest dots that come with the targets are about 1/2"...or like a dime. My first three shots taken...(second shoot all togethor)...I put out 3 of 4 of these dots at 20 yds....:what: Given this was from an offhand rest...I always try this with new guns to take the "me" factor out of it.....MAN ! :D
I did this all after noon.....at 25 yds I put 8 rnds in less than 2" with no rest and not really slow or fast fire....about 1 shot a second. At 20 yds with Remington +P 115's, I shot 1 ragged hole with 16 rnds..this happens once in a while to me...but with a flyer or two....NO FLYERS This time!....:neener:
You guys get the point.....Im in AAAAHHHHHHH:evil: of this little gun. I dont know what CZ did but they sure the hell shouldnt change a thing this gun......except better sights and trigger....which are already on the way....oh ya and a 2 1/2 -3 lb trigger job......
Hell I had to make a CCW rig for it to boot....just a simple one.
Thanks for letting me rant and you all have heard me sing the praises of CZ's forever on the CZForum, TFL and here........
Well, lets just say it just got taken up about 3 notches....:D
Shoot well

You already know this, but I'll say it again. The CZs are absolutely great guns! Reliable, accurate, well balanced, and good looking.

I am a CZ convert.

E. Try some Silvertips. They did the best groups in the
HANDGUNS testing. OK, Here is that pic.

The Ultimate 75SA. CZ-USA action job. MMC adjustable Nites.
and one of a kind HAKAN grips.

Yes, the 97BSA is even better:neener:

There will be other women in your life, and other guns. But Margaret will always be yours if you just decide to keep her.

Besides, some things are worth holding on to if just to be able to pass them on to your son one day. If it is something you've loved and cherished all your life, that will make it all the more satifying for your son to have one day.

Happy cold Saturday!

<Flame suit on>

Or you can buy a 1911 that is 2x the price, and 1/2 as accurate.

There's a reason I love CZ's, and why it's the choice of Rally Vincent..

PCRCCW:

Your post is why I think the whole 45 v. 9 debate is ridiculous. You obviously have found a gun that fits your hand, is accurate, you shoot well, and most of all inspires confidence in you, which I feel is the number 1 thing I look for in a gun -- am I confident this weapon will serve me well if I ever need to use it in self defense?

BTW, PM me if you are interested in shooting tomorrow down in Utah County.

Yeah, I've owned several CZs and EAAs and have handled and shot many more and I've been impressed with pretty much every single one. Esp considering the prices. My CZ IPSC was the best out of the box trigger I've ever experienced and among the best triggers period. My Silver Team is also great though a bit muzzle heavy with the comp.

I'll get one of these 75SAs this year. All the shops I've been to locally always seem to have the 40 S&W SA in stock. Guess it's about time to order a 9mm.

Gongrats... Enjoy...

I need a CZ!

Probably a 97 though... :)

I shot this gun again yesterday....unfreakinbelievable.....again.
I would love to put it against any gun....rested at 25 yds....just for the hell of it...that is not a challenge. Ill have 25 guys lined up with ransum rests....saying come on!.....
The trigger is being replaced with the alloy IPSC unit, trigger job and fiber optic adj. sights.....along with some other tricks.....I love this gun. Shoot well :neener:

Rally Vincent? Is that a cartoon character? Whoa, step away from the TV. I want a shotgun just like Elmer Fudd's cause it never runs out of ammo.

I'm guessing that most people that say that CZ75s are better than 1911s have never tried out a Les Baer or a Wilson. CZs are great for the price but let's not get carried away.:uhoh:

Tecolote,
Id agree 1000%....I shoot more CZ's than any other gun. The Les Baer/Wilson/Custom done right class 1911 is very very hard to beat and trust me...Id love a Custom Concept Baer.....:banghead: Ive shot some very accurate guns..seriously.
For bang for the buck or double the buck...Ive not shot a gun this accurate outa the box....and my shooting skills have suffered lately....no $ for buwwetts sucks.....spending all of my money on bells and whistles for my guns.......but when I get buwwett money again...Ill shoot nicer guns.......
Heres the tack driver with a set of Silverwoods and an IWB rig I through togethor....lightweight rig but nice.
Shoot well

LOL. I don't think anyone said that a CZ75SA was better than
a tuned 1911 like a les baer.
They are MORE ACCURATE from the box than most any 1911,
in the Testing that i've read. I'm sure others will agree.

I actually expected the Shooting Times article on the les baer
to show it more accurate than the CZ.

Even the vaunted SIG P210 was not as accurate as the 75SA
in HANDGUNS testing.

Few guns will shoot 0.5 inch groups from the bench. CZ-USA's
brainchild has accuracy, without compromising reliability.

The 1911 design is not for everyone, nor is the price they
ask for guns.

Most people will never be able to afford a $1,400 Wilson or
Les Baer. However, they can afford a $500 CZ that will be
more accurate than they are. Of course, if you want a .45.
The stock CZ97B did 1 1/4 inch group with HARDBALL. I'm
sure there are even more accurate .45 loads than that.

I think a lot of 1911 lovers just can't abide by the fact that
a CZ is as accurate as their prized .45. The goal with the
75SA was to provide an economy priced, Match Accurate
pistol for compettion. They did a great job in doing such.

Even if it wasn't so superbly accurate. the 75SA would still be
a great gun.

It has nothing to with admitting that a CZ75 is better than a 1911 but with sweeping comparisons. If you're going to say that CZ75s are better than 1911s then you need to specify which 1911. There are too many variations of the 1911 to make that comparison. I have no problem with some claiming that in their experience a CZ75 is as accurate as a "fill in the blank" 1911, but if you're going to make sweeping statements then get ready for counter claims. :)

Hello PCRCCW: That's encouraging. I'm looking to acquire, in the near-future, one of the full-sized CZ's in single-action with the flat adjustable trigger.

Hey Hakan: That's one of the sexiest looking pistols I've ever laid eyes on.

Steve,

Check out the "Technical Support" forum here on THR. There are several threads on picture posting tips, with and without using external picture servers.

What I like is posting pics from your hard drive as attachments. Then you can open the attachment, get the URL, and post it to a new message inline as an IMG.
