.40 S&W: New CZ Pistols!

Some pre-production pistols are showing up. The CZ85 Compact is
a Steel Framed ambi pistol with P-01 type frame.
The P-04 is a .40 S&W caliber version of the proven and popular CZ P-01.
You should be hearing about them or actually seeing a few at your Dealer's.

I don't know if I am excited or not. I never have really gotten into the whole .40 thing. I may try if the local indoor range opens soon and I can rent a .40 and see what I think.

CZ85 Compact
Wow, I was going to get a regular Compact used. If I have to wait to come up with the money anyway I might hold out for one of these. Sounds like my dream CCW. Moreso since KS doesn't have CCW yet.

IMHO .40 S&W is great for carry if in a gun smaller than 3-4" 45ACP. 9mm is much better for shooting at the range as the ammo is about half the price of .45ACP or .40 S&W
180 gr .40 has the same sectional density as 230 gr .45 and in equivilent short barrels .40 S&W will have about 100 ft/sec more velocity for better penetration. In 5" guns stay with .45 ACP as penetration is not a problem.
For reloaders, 9mm or .40 S&W brass is basically free ($10-$15 per thousand).

I've got a money tree. Yup. Genuine $7 bills. For some reason noplace will honor them. ;)
I'd love to refi my debt and get a little extra for some of these great guns comming out. I can pay it back when I'm too old to shoot ;)

Question: Is she lucky to have a CZ, or is the CZ lucky?

I'm going to have to hold out until the CZ 75 P-04 is available. Right now my P-01 shares duty with my CZ 2075 as my carry gun, but I'd gladly add the P-04 to the rotation.
