I just bought a remington black synthetic stock at walmart but just noticed it dont have a stock stud for a swivel, since this is going to be my turkey gun I really need one, and as it looks theres no way of drilling it because of the holes for the recoil pad go all the way thru. Has any one ever had this problem and what did u do?

I think you can get uncle mike's swivels that have a machine screw and nut on the other side. Since synthetics are thin, you need the nut to grab onto the other side. Best bet is to go to a gunsmith and ask him. He should not only have the parts, but he will install them for you. It's worth the money and gunsmiths need the work.
