357 Super

i am wondering what frame would be best suited for a 10MM case necked down to .357.
i am thinking along the lines of a 1911 for the thinner grip but the glock 20 would only need a BBL and heavy recoil spring.
anyone know if i can use standard 357sig dies after i have my first batch of brass made?

Dillon has the dies or RCBS
Several Glock Talk members have posted there about their conversions.

The now out-of-production S&W 1006 and 1076 would make good choices for your conversion. These pistols have strong frames and a good historical reputation for durability.
Your idea is interesting and probably should have been the approach for the .357 Sig. The brass case is stronger and longer. Performance is bound to be exciting.

As Porter already stated (though I don't think it was understood) this cartridge already exists and is called the 9x25 Dillon. You can get barrels from Barsto and dies from RCBS. For brass try Starline. I assume they make it, but am not 100% certain as I haven't checked.

Starline used to make 9x25mm. The way I get it now is to form it from Winchester 10mm.

Hello and thanks for joining in, could you post a few examples of typical performance with various bullet weights and velocities?

The last I heard about 9X25 was that it was wearing barrels too quickly (at least for IPSC practice). It's a neat idea, but not if you don't get to enjoy the long range accuracy for long.
Another option may be the Witness 10mm. Since EAA sells 9mm conversion top ends for the big bore (.45 and 10) frames, their basic 9mm barrel may drop into the 10mm slide. Ream the chamber and you're home for a lot less than a Barsto.
