Ok, carried for the past 2 days. (Legally of course)

I like it.

I feel more secure (because it raises my level of awareness) when packing. More confident, stand up straighter, speed less (shouldnt speed at all), and most of all am much more aware of my surroundings than I ever was before I started carrying.

I mean I thought I knew what condition yellow was, but I must say I never experienced anything like this before.

I havent done the obligatory trip to walmart, but did visit my local gunshop and autoparts stores while carring.

Other than the first time I stepped out the door, I didnt feel like, "uh oh, I am carrying a gun." I really hoped that feeling didnt persist

Oh and what I called printing was a small lump where the back of the butt made a bump in my shirt. I was using a belt slide at the time. Nice, but not to my liking.

In fact I have gotten so used to it in the last 2 days, I had to go put on my jeans (was wearing sweats) so I had a belt for my IWB holster.

I took the liberty of making my own holsters for carry. It is not at all like it sounds. They are made of quality, hand stitched leather.

In fact, I must thank Azrael for his input into making my holsters!

But the holsters are a different thread entirely!

Carrying concealed the first few times is truly bizzare. You are hyper-aware that you are carrying, hyper-aware that others may notice, hyper-aware of everything that could happen. You're sure someone is about to shout "he's got a gun!" But...nothing happens.

Eventually the feeling gradually fades, usually forgetting it's there, occasionally fidgiting to adjust it comfortably or ensure it's covered, and only getting concerned when you realize the restroom stall walls don't go all the way to the floor and you have to figure out how to cover it appropriately.

Truly a strange feeling, first-time carry. Just remember: concealed means concealed.

Retain what you have learned so far and keep on practicing and remeber to keep on learning cause you can never know it all!

Polk County has a good thing in Sheriff Anderson! Remeber to vote for him even if he is unnapposed and spread the word about his good practices!
Some of us in other counties aren't so lucky so don't forget us and lend a hand when we try to convert the state to shall issue.
