94 shoots high - front post problem?

I have a confounding problem. I was hoping someone here would have a solution.
I installed an Ashley rear ghost-ring on my Winchester 94 and went to the range to sight it in. The result: even at the lowest position, it shoots 10"-12" high. The groups are pretty tight, they are just way too high.
Since I can't adjust the rear sight down any further, can I get another front post that is a bit higher? I haven't installed the Ashley front sight because it doesn't seem to be much of an improvement (it is just fatter). In any case, it is the same height as the factory post, or even a bit lower.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

The 94s are dovetailed for the front sight-
Any reasonably competent Smitthy should be able to do it easily and relatively cheaply--
There are some nice sights out there too-- Beads etc

I had this problem with my Marlin 336. Luckily, simply switching bullet weights fixed the problem. But if you're at a grain you like, I would put the AO on an see what happens. If its not the right height, contact Ashley to get outfitted with the proper one. They know their product so I'm sure that if you provide barrel length, velocity/bullet weight/etc., they'll be able to provide you with the correct sight.

I'm assuming the gun shot to POA before you installed the peep.
You could call Ashley as suggested, they're pretty good in the service department and I'm sure they'll take care of you. Or you could call Williams and install one of their very nice front sights. I have the FireSight front on my Marlin 1894 with the Ashley rear peep and love the combo. At under $20 shipped, it won't break the bank.
Call Williams and tell them what's happening. You'll need to measure the height and width of the front sight that's giving you problems so they can help figure out which one you need.
Oh, and while you're on the phone with Williams, order the $5 slot blank to fill that ugly dovetail gap left when you removed the factory buckhorn. ;)
