Question about firearms in the old "S.W.A.T." TV show

For those of us who used to watch "S.W.A.T." in the mid 1970's, what kind of rifle did the sniper use? Was it a Remmy of some type?

I miss those pre-PC days. Hondo and the boys would wipe out the baddies, and then handshakes and backslaps all around:D
