I'm doing some research on the quality of pistol scopes. I plan to use this scope (probably a 3-9) on a Magnum Research 45-70 BFR, Rem XP-100 in .308, and a .454 Casull.
Is the optical quality of a Thompson Center as good as the Leupolds and Burris scopes?
Thank you.

The short answer is, "No". The examples I've seen of the T/C scopes were made in some third world country (the Phillippines?) and were nowhere near the quality of either US brand mentioned.

BFR deserves a Leupold.

I prefer a leupold. 2 or 4 x depend on what you prefer. I have a 4x for my 375 jdj barrel. a 2x for the rest of the heavy kickers.
