dunno what you mean by 'stands'?
perhaps you are referring to a bipod?

I really hope you're not thinking of a bipod on a light carbine. Be a waste of the handiness of a carbine and it won't improve accuracy.

Bipods are for use primarily when shooting from the prone position and usually at long distances.

concur: bipods would be teats on a boar for a carbine. Use a nearby sapling as a monopole. Heck, use a monopole. Practice firing offhand. Kneeling. Sitting. How do you mean to hunt with the carbine?

Don't forget a 16x or higher scope...;)

Stop pokin' phun, John! ;)
I concur with my fellow mods and others here-- with a handy carbine, a set of good quick sights or the lowest-power scope you can get are the way to go. If your eyes can't do good work with a ghost ring peep, may I suggest a scope in the 1.5 to 2X range, to keep it small?
A decent sling-- NOT one of those beastly padded carrying straps-- would help you achieve your accuracy with that carbine, and would not detract from its handiness, either. A bipod would be, in my opinion, an unwise investment.
