I just now watched a video (shot by a neighbor) of pre-school child playing with a handgun while his parents who were drinking booze and target shooting were down range checking thier targets , on a national news show . In the video you can also see two long guns leaning on thier car . :uhoh: This is not the image we , as responsable gun owners need projected on national TV . I feel sorry for the boy but the two irresponseable morons that are his parents should serve time in jail for thier behavior .:fire:

I saw the same video on the NBC morning show just a little while ago. Matt Lauer had the person who took the video on the show and played this for all it was worth.

Yes that's the same one I saw . I didn't know the name of the show because I'm usually at work when it's on . The TV was on but I wasn't paying much attention to it , until this part came on . The host ( Matt Lauer ?) was interviewing the woman who made the video . He wanted to know why she didn't run over to the child and take the gun from him :confused: instead of taking the video . The woman explained that she didn't want to startle the child and was concerned about her own safety as well ( IMO the smart thing to do but I'm not sure I would do the same thing ) . She also said she was about 100 yds. , by her own estimate ( of course , some people can't tell the difference between 100 ft. and 100 yds.) away from the child when this was happening . The good thing is , she got proof of what happend and the couples two children were taken from thier custody and placed with relatives . The couple has been charged but I don't remember what the specific charges are .
