Never bought any on line - but found myself thinking i would several times from cheaperthandirt.com. Def will for my 45 long colts... my gf's brother has a old single action colt in 45LC and the prices he quotes are WAY more expensive than i've seen on line.

Really depends on the type of ammo.
I buy limited supplies at Walmart.
Most of my ammo comes from a local ammo distributor who beats walmart OTD

I like to get most of mine from www.georgia-arms.com
I've used and been happy with ammoman.com
www.dansammo.com has come recommended, as has aimsurplus.com and several others I can't quite recall right now.
I would sugest natchezss.com but they will not sell to me. THey'll sell to anybody, unless you live in three certain states that are too close to there location.

I've been happy with my experiences at www.sportsmansguide.com. They have better prices than most. Shipping was very reasonable.

I will second Dans Ammo and Ammoman.com. They are both great places. Two other good places are Century Arms and The Ammunition Store. I think the deal with Century is that if you have a C&R or other license on file with them, ammo shipping is $12, flat rate. That's a great deal on shipping. I got 3,600 rounds of Turkish 8mm delivered to me for about $160 I think. The Ammunition Store is www.ammunitionstore.com . They are located in New York I think, so shipping can be a little pricey if you are on the other side of the country. They are good people and I have always gotten a great product from them. Of course AIM has great service and ammo, www.aimsurplus.com .
I always call these people to order. I've never placed an order on-line, I guess I just like doing business the old fashioned way.

I buy guns and ammo mostly from AIM but I've also bought from Sportsmans Guide.
I usually buy several cases at a time so I'm constantly looking for the best price.

I buy alot of items online but if the total price breakdown is close to what a local dealer can get it for, use the local guy. We need to keep these guys in business.

Another vote, or two, for Ammoman and NatchezSS. Excellent service from both.

I just received my first online purchase last week from www.natchezss.com. They turned the order around very quickly and had a good price.
I recently noticed Cabelas was carrying black hills, so I placed an order with them. Their prices are good, but they do charge for shipping. I did a comparison with ammoman and georgiaprecision and those have a higher list price but come out a bit cheaper since they do not charge shipping.
UPS and FedEx shops are pain for me to get to if I have to pick it up, and I have a very discreet porch area, so I prefer a business that does not send it signature required. That is easily worth $5 or $10 on an order for me.
