I recently aquired (in a trade for a S&W SW99 9mm) a S&W Model 58 (no dash anything) .41 Magnum Military & Police in about an honest 98% condition, although the original grips have been replaced with a set S&W diamond "coke bottles" grips and the trigger was replaced with a target trigger. The serial number is S259xxx, so I'm guessing the production is about 1965. No box or papers, bummer. Thanks for your time, Walt.

Real nice lookin' S&W there! That 41 is a good caliber. Wish I still had my old 57 from the '70s. Enjoy it.

You traded a S&W 99 for a M58?
Good trade. ;)

I'd be concerned about the other guy in this arrangement.
I traded away my M58 for a what? :banghead: :cuss: :barf:
What was I thinking?
If I ever had a M58, it surely wouldn't be traded off for the likes of a SW99, that's for sure....

One of Smith & Wesson's better ideas and my all-time favorite
big-bore revolver. A wide range of power levels through handloading...
rugged, low profile fixed sights...Smith & Wesson lockwork...What's not to like?
Wish they'd come out with an L-frame, 5-shooter with a 3.25-inch barrel and a round butt with fixed sights, with the old lockwork and the
FIRING PIN ON THE HAMMER WHERE GOD INTENDED IT...please...
