I heard on another board that it did and that Sig had the procurement deal now. I hope not. I hope we will do business with nations that are our ALLIES instead of those like Germany that are no longer.

If this is true, I will be writing my elected Officials soon.

I can probably say thats a bonk.:D
The M-9 is still in service along with a limited # of Sig 228s. Even if Beretta fullfills the contract to provide pistols they are still gonna be providing parts. Where did you hear this from?

SIG is Swiss, SIG-Sauer is German. The latter makes the 228 and has a strong US presence in New Hampshire.

Even if the current contract is over that doesn't mean they are switching sidearms. Just means they have fulfilled the nessesary units and they will be getting a new contract.
