That 500 S&W is a Monster according to the Chart it has 700 more Fps than the 454 Cassull WOW. :what:

Isn't that chart in foot pounds, not feet-per-second?
And a third more powerful than the 454 is going to be interesting...although I've had my 454 with factory 300-grain loads called "interesting" by one of my students after using it to knock a bowling pin arse-over-head in the mud. She was eight.

For what it's worth, the recoil of the .500 S&W, with the "light" load (a 275-grain bullet), with the compensator on the revolver, is about like that of a full-house .44 magnum without a compensator, in my view.
I shot the big gun without the comp, and with it. Without the comp, it's no fun!
The 400 and 440-grain loads are a LOT more "fun."
