Naked protestors?

It may be me, but I'm confused as to why someone would want to get naked to protest something like a war. I would think that their (http://www.baringwitness.org/) nekidness would be too much of a distraction to even pay attention to their message. What's up with that?

Who knows ... ?
Maybe this is why we are losing the 2A fight - not willing to protest for our right to bare arms. :D

The nekidness aspect is silly and confusing. If the nekid billboard is shockingly unpleasant to behold, nobody wants to look. On the other hand, if the nekid billboard is pleasant upon the eyes, who will notice, or even care, what the billboard says? Quite a dilema. Yet, I often do appreciate the nekid female hotties, no matter what they protest.

I noticed that no one is naked in Antarctica. You have to question the kind of conviction that these people have.

Ironic that these people have been getting naked to protest actions against countries where the mere showing of an ankle would result in a deadly beating.
But most people just don't look too good naked (I know I don't), so perhaps there's some shock and revulsion value to protesting in the buff.

Of course the ones from Illinois couldn't help but emphasize the stupidity. . . . so they did it in the snow.

Have you seen the clip where they lay naked in the snow in Central Park, spelling out NO BUSH? Ouch, talk about shrinkage!

That being naked is construed to make or emphasize a point by these people shows us their thought processes (or lack thereof).
Is there anything dumber?
Why don't they use logic and reason to provide support for their stance?
For my part, I think that it is good that these pictures aren't close-ups.
Seeing members of the "hairy legs and armpits" set in the altogether violently upsets my digestion.

Sorry to upset your fantasy (and, as a cop, you'd get to slap the 'cuffs on and haul them away:D ), but most of them have never heard of a razor.
At least, when I was in college.

Naked college girls protesting
About as enticing as shorn sheep http://www.carywolinsky.com/dyn_images/135/50/6603500081.JPG...got this pesky preference for gawking at my own species. The cranial contents of the protestors tend to be so different from mine that no interest is possible...not into zoophilia.

I saw one of these women on Hannity and Colmes and, if she is representative of the caliber of women in the protest, I have never been so relieved that those pictures were taken at such a great distance.

DeltaElite,
I think that one was uncalled for.
As for the original question, It may be me, but I'm confused as to why someone would want to get naked to protest something like a war. I would think that their nekidness would be too much of a distraction to even pay attention to their message. What's up with that? -- I think it's pretty obvious that the intent is to get your attention. And it worked.

Isn't it cool that men can always be distracted by the unexpected sighting of a boob? It's the only thing that's kept them from completely destroying the world. – "Bev" on the web

I do find it amusing that these people think their meaningless opinions will carry more weight by them not wearing clothes.
The wonderful part of their "protests" is that none of them had to miss any work, since they are just unemployed leeches of society anyway. :D

According to a new survey, women say they feel more comfortable undressing in front of men than they do undressing in front of other woman; they say that women are too judgmental, where, of course, men are just grateful. -- Jay Leno

DeltaElite: "Ok Monkeyleg, I changed it.
See your opinion carries weight with me."
Stay with that mindset and you're going to get into a lot more arguments on THR. ;)
Reminds me of an incident about five years ago. I'd backed my cycle into a parking space, and was dismounting when a gaggle of teenage guys and girls walked by. One of the girls whispered something, and then one of the guys said, "hey, mister! Andrea likes you!"
I mustered up my best Clint Eastwood gravel-voice and replied, "well, I'm sure glad somebody does."
What's this got to do with nekkid protestors? Nothing, except it would be nice if they were all 18 years old.
