Has anyone carrier their Surefire-the tactical sort-anodized body, etc. on commercial airlines since the implementation of tougher carry on rules? How about a SF with the strike bezel and tail cap??

I have carried a G2Z many, many times on commercial flights. I didn't try it in the months immediately following 9/11 -- heck, even the pilots were having their flashlights taken away then. However, I have carried it onboard many times during the past year. I don't have any experience with a strike bezel but suspect you could fall into that gray area of "screener's discretion."

You mean that thing on the E2-Defender and the TID made by GG&G? Oh, those things are just made for standing the flashlight up straight... What's wrong with that?

Have carried a Surefire E2 and E2e on all my flights since 9/11. No problems flying out of Indy to and from San Antonio, Austin, San Fransico, Phoenix, Chicago, Knoxville, Detroit and Boston.

Carried a 6P no problem. If Your worried about the E2Ds, SF has a rubber cap that fits over the bezel. I believe its one of those black out caps. Check the website. Worst comes to worst they will just have you send it back to your home via mail.

No, worst case, some TSA drone will have a new flashlight.
