I have a C&R licensce and buy guns through the mail. I have shown some people at work my guns and have sold some of them these guns. I keep their name, address, and date of birth with the serial number of each gun sold. The ATF says I can buy, sell ,and trade to enhance my personal collection and in my eyes this is exactly what I am doing. Does anyone have any more info on this? Is there a limit on the number of guns you can sell and still not be a buisness?
Thanks
Daren

As long as you log those guns out of your bound book to them, and can show that the reason for sale was to improve your collection, there is no limit put on you by the law.
If you were to take money from one of them to buy a gun, that would be a violation, but buying a gun, deciding that it is not good enough for your collection and then selling it to buy another, is perfectly valid.
Just make sure you keep every record in your bound book for every C&R eligible gun you buy and sell or trade while you have your license.
