1894C case?

I need a case for my new Marlin 1894C lever-action .357 rifle. A soft case with a zipper. Preferably cheap.

The overall length of the rifle is only 36". Everything I see in the stores is either much longer, or taller to as to accept a scope. My rifle is not and will not be scoped. I just want a short, skinny case. (It may not be long, but it sure is skinny.)

Any help?

You might try an airgun case. They're shorter but pretty nice. I have one for my 1894C.

Which one, Nathanael?

I'll have to check...to be honest, it was just some cheapie that I picked up several years ago at a sporting goods store for about $10. I bought it for an M-1 carbine (that I had to sell when I was out of work for a fairly extended period a couple of years ago). But it works just dandy for the Marlin.

You might look at some shotgun cases. I tried one and it seemed to fit but I decided not to get it.

I got an Allen 40" soft case from MidwayUSA (it was $13, and I couldn't find anything smaller) and it works just fine for toting my new unscoped 1894C to and from the range.
