IDF took them off-line. Too many fatalities.
Originally conceived as Cooper-esque riot-suppression weapon (shoot the riot leader in the leg and take him out of the equation), the IDF (and civilian sniper teams) used their suppressed .22s for COM & headshots instead.

Use suppressed .22s for guard dogs at meth labs around these parts. But have to wonder how tactical is the gritty, industrial Nort? I mean we play with with guns, not beach volleyball!

Oh yeah,
Saw an episode of "Insomnia" on Cable TV where they were using suppressed 10/22s to shoot nutria rats alongside waterways. Dunno what city, but the SWAT guys were cruising at night in the back of pickup trucks spotlighting & plugging Nutrias along the canal/riverbanks. Looked really fun.

Yeah, Dave Attell sure looked like he was having fun blasting away with those .22s. He didn't look like he was having too much fun fishing the buger out. Them Nutria be some big critters.

How big do the rats get??
The thing that made me REALLY love the 10/22 was watching a video about the uprising in Chiapas Mexico..
A man armed with a scoped 10/22 and a brick of subsonics, climbed up in the tree, and proceeded to take out some 3)+ federalies... :D
I'm sorry, did someone question the lethality of .22's???
Eyeball shots!!!
The feds started to wear head protection, and so he went for "armpit" shots.. That is just got to be one of the most painful ways to die...
.22LR in the armpit...

Namely, that target area between the legs that would take the fight out of a rock-throwing male Palestinian. :what:

How big do the rats get??
When full grown nutrias are about 2 feet in length excluding the tail. The average adult weight is 18 to 25 pounds. That's a big rat.
