Is there an acceptable close to $300 semiauto 28", 12 GA to give skeet a try with? I have no desire to put $2000 into a shotgun to see if I will still enjoy it several months from now.
Thanks,
CT

I would recommend a 1100 if you are set on an inexpensive semi-auto gun. You should be able to find one at a pawn shop or or a gun show for $350ish. I shoot a 870 Exp. Mag. and have for years at skeet, trap, and sporting clays. I perfer a pump just because it makes me try harder. Plus, I love the looks on the old chap's faces when my $200 870 outshoots their $3,000 custom... :neener:

Agree with the 1100.

One more vote for a "previously enjoyed" Remington 1100. Thousands of them out there, and the perfect starter SG for all clay disciplines. And once you become proficiant, you don't necessarily need to trade up.
