CZ75-D PCR...anyone own one?

I'm asking, because not a single gun shop around here seems to know what this thing is. It's really irritating, because I've been trying to purchase one for over two years.
If anyone owns one, or has fired one, I'd really appreciate your comments. How does it stack up to the regular 75s? Is it as accurate as the other, more common models are known to be?
Oh, and what should I expect to pay, should I ever find one?
Thanks in advance for any info...

Yes, I own a PCR. I bought mine about two years ago for $350. I have heard the price has steadily been going up though. I last saw one locally, a few months ago, for $485.
I have not fired a full sized CZ, so I can not compare. However, the PCR is my most accurate.
From what I understand, the PCR is not longer made. I think it was replaced with the P-01. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. (I tried to look on the CZUSA.COM website, only to find that my employer has suddenly blocked it due to weapons and violence:fire: )

Thanks for the info....I looked on the site, and they still have it advertised.
But CRAP, I really hope it's not discontinued. I really wanted one before spring came around.

I have a PCR and the CZ-75B (full size). I carry the PCR because it is slightly smaller and a lot lighter. Iits as accurate or more so than my full size CZ as the out of the box triger is better on the PCR. I like the Novak type sites as wel as shorter grip. Its an excellent pistol. They go for just over $400 around here. Track one down, you will love it.

I have a PCR and a full-sized 75BD. The PCR is much lighter thanks to its alloy frame, and shoots every bit as well as its big brother. It's also very well balanced, and its trigger is just a bit better than the 75BD.
I paid $399 for my 75BD, and $429 for the PCR. The PCR seems to be a lot harder to find.

Well, I guess those PCRs really are hard to come by. Thanks again for the info/prices.
Lendringser, that is a VERY nice piece. Even nicer than it appears on their site. Congrats on your recent purchases.
That settles is...I'm sick of being the only guy without a CZ. I'm going shopping this weekend.

I have several CZ's: 52, 83, 75B, and PCR. I bought the PCR only two weeks ago and haven't had a chance to shoot it. If it's anything like the 75B and 83 I'm sure it will be spot on accurate.
In contrast to other views on this forum and CZF I think my 83 has the best trigger of all, followed closely by the 75B and the PCR. Granted, I've only dry fired the PCR but it seems to stack-up more than the others. Anyone else feel this way? I'm hoping that it will smooth out with use.
By the way, my local dealer had the PO-1 as well as the PCR. The PCR feels much more balanced. The PO-1 feels very 'nose' heavy to me. I'm lucky in that my local dealer's prices are at internet levels or below. Only $311 for the PCR.:)
Oops! I forgot to mention that the stacking is in DA. SA is crisp!!
EDIT!! Sorry, looked at the wrong receipt! I paid $411 for the PCR. It was $311 for a CZ83.

Really? That's over $100 less than any prices I've seen on the internet. I paid $399 plus tax for mine in 2000 and thought I got a pretty good deal.

The PCR is listed in the 2003 CZ product catalog, so I would have to think it is still in production.

I believe I read over on www.czforum.com a while back that CZ did stop production on the PCR for a while but brought it back and will offer both the P01 and the PCR for 2003. Check the CZ forum, though, don't take my word for it.

PCRCCW-- VERY nice, they're even more attractive with those grips.
BIGMTNMAN-- Your profile says you live in Northern CO? I lived near Ft. Collins for several years, and plan on visiting friends in Denver later this year...at which store are you finding such great prices?

Thanks .....I like the guns alot. Perfect carry........
I gotta agree about the 83's trigger...Its by far the best of any CZ made....even the SA or 97. Its better than my PCR with the PO1 trigger and trigger job....which is very nice.

Thanks for making me see my mistake. The price for my PCR was $411. I looked at the wrong receipt - the $311 was for the CZ83.
Still good prices, but not THAT good!! :banghead:
The dealer is Jensen Arms on 4th St. in Loveland. How did you like Fort Collins? I've lived here for 30 years except for a 3 year sojourn to Alaska.

BIGMNTMAN,
Heh, honest mistake. Even though, $411 isn't too bad from what I've been hearing. Not bad at all.
I lived in Ft. Collins and Greeley for several years, and I absolutely loved it. Ft. Collins is the kind of place a person would like to raise a family....just a terrific atmosphere, nice folks, safe streets. The biggest dangers in the town were probably my friends and I, drunk college kids from CSU, dancing in the snow (excellent party town).
And of course, Loveland was right inbetween, so I did most of my clothes shopping at that outlet mall. I've been hearing that they're really expanding that area....lots of new housing developments.
I still miss that laid-back lifestyle of CO.
Thanks for the shopping tip; I'll be sure to check out Jensen Arms during my next trip.
