Our guys are working hard at making this a great event (I shed a few calories myself ;)).

Some stage setup has already begun, and it promises to be great fun for all who attend.

Safe shooting,

This is one match I look forward to every year. Good friends, good stages, great food, and the weather usually cooperates too.

I am shooting Friday so I'll see you there.

We'll probably miss eachother.

I couldn't shoot Friday which is when our RO's are scheduled to shoot. I won't be working the event officially. I'll be shooting Sunday and filling in after I shoot through.

I'll be heading down there Saturday for practice and "pitching-in", I'll try to post an update of "Regional Recon'" early next week ;).

Good luck!

I will be working a stage somewhere all weekend. Find a guy with a Cape Cod Fish & Game Assoc shirt ;)

You'll enjoy it...they are a good bunch of guys (and a gal or two occasionally). I wish I could have worked the match, but alas, my schedule would not permit.

I'll be the guy wearing 5.11 gear ;).

Safe shooting (and have fun practicing),

Bumping this up as the word is there is still room for shooters.

Visited the club this weekend.

House stage has been modified to "up the ante"...this is going to be a challenging stage.

A Trestle has been constructed in one bay (using popper to release) which will provide for an interesting moving target.

The Pioneer Jail has received some minor modifications. A conspicuous steel no shoot is shielding another popper released turning target.

The Bay usually reserved for skills has a "steps and door" setup as well as a diagonal array of targets...looks interesting.

The Plates Bay has a Bianchi in there...look to engage plates from behind cover...a couple poppers in there also.

I'll be going back tonight doing some more excavating...I'll post any relevant updates without giving away the store...

Safe shooting,

Last year the scores were posted on the Pioneer Web Site.

I expect the same to be true this year.

Neil,

Sorry to have missed you too. Be back down there sooner than later, though.

4th, eh? Out of 4 I'm sure...quite the lackluster performance. But tons of fun!

That's the word I was looking for to describe my performance.

Stage 1 - Clean but slow...decent Harries technique for somebody who never shot an "assault revolver"...
Stage 2 - Flyer on DHO string cost me 2.5...I was pleased with 7-yards...I never did an "El Presidente" variant in under 12 seconds before.
Stage 3 - Force field around center plate slowed me down string 1 ;), but I stayed clean and don't recall needing to go to slide lock.
Stage 4 - Best stage for me, down only 1
Stage 5 - Also down 1, but "uncertain reload" cost me some time...not too bad though.
Stage 6 - Should have planned on only 1 reload, then tried to cut it too fine and hit the steel no shoot which cost me 5. I apologized to the no-shoot which gave the RO a good chuckle...didn't look life threatening to me...
Stage 7 - Hit the dropper but missed the turner completely...go figure...at least I planned it right and had no excess reloads. 10 down on the turner nets to 5 I wish I had back.
Stage 8 - Two insurance head shots cost me 2-3 points. Did that RO crowd you too? 6" is not enough space...
Stage 9 - Engaged rolling pair in wrong order...too many "insurance shots" on it also added a reload which cost me 5-7 seconds total easy. I really had to get down to engage that steel from under the table...

No procedurals...didn't hurt anybody...roughly in the middle of my division/class...not a bad rookie Regional.

Enough of the Glocks for a while...now I shoot my CZ-75B for at least a year...ESP, here I come!!

Stay safe,

CZ52'

Someone told me Mas' had a "miss" on the low-light stage...I didn't realize that they meant a true "Mike". I guess it proves that everyone's human.
