It certainly is a eye catcher. For the knife novice like me I have learned some interesting things from reading the magazine. However I have read that it is in the same category as Combat HG and Guns for LE. What's your take on it??

I don't think of it at all, other than to recognize a really stupid title.

In spite of the unfortunate title it's a very good magazine. The editor, Steven Dick, is a good guy and actually performs tests up in the NW. The other writers are pretty solid. As part of the triad of glossy knife magazines, Blade and Knives Illustrated being the other 2/3, it approaches knives as tools to be used in the field.

My subscription just expired. I wasnt impressed with the magazine, nor the articles. They would review knives that had been out for months, or in one case a year, as something coming out soon. Not a huge deal, but it did bother me a bit. Biggest thing that annoyed me was reviewing knock off products as the real thing, without acknowledging the original. I much prefer Blade.

Lots of hype, usually late with new products, it just struck me as very amateurish. I was also very put off but the cartoonish artwork. And the price was outrageous for the content and quality. Writing was'nt that hot in general.

And what's with the exclamation points on the cover? One month I counted 41! Nothings that good!

Junky. Cage liner for mall ninjas.

Boy, I liked it less than I remembered I disliked it.

It is typical of gunzine (knifezine) magazines. It is what it is - just realize that - it is advertisement for manufactures.

I buy it once in awhile. The pictures are pretty. Sometimes the ads are interesting.

Much like gun magazines. . .you never get the real story. Magazines are worried about losing the all important advertising dollar. JMHO
