Does anyone have some pictures or plans for a homemade BB gun target. Siloutte type if possible or paper target type. Something that would have some type of capture/backstop.
Thanks

I made an air rifle backstop that was nothing more than a frame built to hold a piece of cardboard (which held the target) and then a stack of newspaper a couple inches thick behind it to stop the pellets.

I made a "Red Ryder Rifle Range" in my basement...

Took a 30"x30"x18" heavy box, and filled it with crumpled-up heavy shipping paper. Hung a regular bed-sheet, folded double about 1 foot behind the box, and a second doubled-over sheet about 18" behind that.

Even my bolt-action multi-pump air pistol that sort of resembles the Rem XP-100 cant push a pellet through all that.

The one I use is like a wooden towel rack on legs in a shallow box. Target is hung from the first cross bar and a piece of carpet is hung from the second cross bar. BBs', pellets fall into the box that also has a piece of carpet in it. I set it up in my hall or TV room. I also use it when I'm shooting wax bullets in my .41RemMag.

I havn't made one in a loooong time, but I used to make cardboard box traps. Just get a cardboard box 12" or bigger on all sides (16" is best). Cut a piece of carpet to fit inside the box and reach top to bottom. Tack the carpet to a 1/2" dowel and either thread the pole through holes in the side of the box or just set the pole on the edge. Tape a target to the front, close up the top of the box and have at it. Depending on the type of carpet used, and how many layers, even a low velocity .22 can't escape. Just make sure the fuzzy part of the carpet points towards the front.

A cardboard box filled with old newspapers is all that is needed to stop BB's.

I use the same kind of target setup to do draw/present/fire drills with my 9mm carry gun in the garage.

Of course, I'm using Speer's plastic training bullets in it. They are kinda the equivalent of BBs in weight and speed, but they function from regular pistols.
