I will guess that all clips were made by SA. The answer is "none", since SA isn't a company (it was a govt entity).

Well, I know for a fact there was SA and WRA. That's two. And I have a Stanley ("S") that I believe was made during the war. So I'm going to say three.

I would like to know how many companies, US and foreign, made or still make clips. I'am thinking about 50!

Hi all,
This is from an internal letter within the Industrial Services Division (Production not Field Service) regarding the markings on clips. The letter is dated Jan. 1946. I assume these are all wartime which makes 10. Funny thing is I have never seen an RW marked clip.

R. Wallace & Sons is marked W1 ... W6. At least that is what the documents at Lane's tips said.

I can send you a jpg of that Ordnance file. My copy is hard to read but looks ok. Just drop me an email. The file is about 192K.
