What is number 1 gun you really like but DON'T have?

What is it? I really like 1911 and Hi Power, and I do have a good sample of each that I am quite happy with. I want another 1911, but that's another story.
What's a gun that you really want, but still don't have?

Model 629 Trail Boss, Deluxe Anniversary.
Model 66 F Comp
Sig Sauer P232
Ruger SP-101

Springer XD-45 If they come out with it?
There are others, especially used gun that are no longer made. But for new handguns, it would be the above choices. Oops, the 66 F Comp is no longer in production, my bad. But I think you can still find them NIB.

Stone cold out of the box reliable 4" 1911. Maybe there isn't one?
The Springer Lightweight Compact that I just sold was 100% reliable. I think Springfield might have stopped making them--maybe they heard that 4" 1911s are supposed to be unreliable...
To answer the question: I really want a 4" Colt Diamondback in .22lr in great shape. Judging by the prices, I think I'm not alone.

thin as a Kel-Tec but still a classic 1911 design. I generally hate compact guns that are just chopped down versions of the fullsize model, the LS9 & LS40 (and Detonics Combat Master) are not that at all.

I should really say, it is not that I don't have these, I just want better examples.
http://pages.sbcglobal.net/eickpm/single_action.jpg
I want another one of these that is not a refinished and has all of the certificates and other "stuff". I would prefer a 7 or 8" barrel (quite rare) but another 6.5" would be ok.
For those of you who missed it, this is a S&W 1939 Registered Magnum.
Can I post #2 in the want list???

I want one of these that I can shoot. Mine is un-fired in the box and dang it, after 30+ years I just can't bring myself to do it. It kills me to have it and not shoot it though.....

Greeting's All-
Well, I can really think of many; but I will list the top five:
* a LNIB factory nickeled Smith & Wesson 39-2 9m/m
* a LNIB 5" Smith & Wesson model 27 .357 magnum
* a LNIB 4" Colt satin Combat Commander .45ACP
* a NIB Walther P-88 9m/m
* a LNIB 4" stainless Ruger Security-Six .357 magnum
As I said, there are many others; but these would fit in my
collection very nicely.
Best Wishes,

CZ-452
I'd kinda like to have a Colt Anaconda and a Python but just cannot justify paying the current going price.

I have the gun just not in the confuguration I would like, I would like to have my S&W Heavy Duty converted to 45 Colt with an auxillary cylinder in 45 ACP.
Barring that the number one handgun I would like to get is a BHP.
Others I would like are:
1. Ruger SuperBlackHawk Hunter in 45 Colt and in a Bisley configuration.
2. S&W 60 3" Adjustable sights w/Auxillary cylinder in 9mm
3. 3" Ruger SP101
4. 1st gen Glock 17

Well...these aren't my "fantasy picks," but they are the weapons I might pick up in the next couple of years, in order from most to least wanted:
1) 1911 = any good used Colt, Kimber, Springfield, etc. in the classic 5" length, preferably with 3-dot nitesights and a long trigger. I still miss my stolen Kimber 3". Now I think full length makes more sense than snubby.
2) A good J-frame snubby in .38 or .357. I'd prefer a model with a concealed hammer. .38 would be fine, .357 is just gravy. I have little urge to shoot .357 in a J-frame--YET! These guns carry very well for me.
3) A GP-100 in 6" with full length underlug. I'm gonna have to give my "loaner" to my stepdaughter one of these days, and I want one of my own. A nice shooter/handload development tool.
4) A CZ-75 in 9mm. These just feel very nice in my hand.
and....a good Buckmark or or DA Smith .22 -- can't really fit this into the above picks, I'm just keeping my eyes peeled for a good deal.
I'm sure this list won't "survive contact with the enemy," but I am going to try to keep my caliber list down to want I currently can handload (.38/.357,
9x19 and .45 ACP). Someday, I might add a heavy duty (.44 Magnum and up on the power scale) revolver that also fits in a nice carbine.

Depression era Colt 1911 National match 95% or better, since I am wishing with the box and the paperwork. Ok in real life I will settle for a pre 60's Gold Cup, I really like the 1958 I saw.

Navy Colt 1911, year -1913, mint not restored
Colt 1911, SN under 3000, year 1912
( the Navy Colt would really look good with my other 1911 made in 1913 it would make a sweet pair )

Assault current: M4, AKS 74, Valmet Rk 62, Sig 552, HK 53
Back in the realm of reality, I am looking for a SKS Tula 49-52 plum stock cherry, and I am watching the AWB for a folding stock AK, wonder how long I will have to get a legal AK47 with all the bad goodies, before the door gets shut again, I guess the election will impact this, Worst case I figure congress won't do squat before the election so there will be at least a month and half, but I sure hope its longer than that so I have some time to finance aquistions, like the above AK and a 16" AR.

I'm 58 and have never-never owned a 1911. Being an ex-Air Force and Vietnam vet, my next gun will be a Springfield Armory GI replica. From what I've read on these forums (1911Tuner, Stephen A. Camp) the Springfield Armory GI model is good quality at an excellent price for any 1911. I dunno, the thought of having a WWII replica appeals to me. Won't be long before I have one in my modest collection.
