Here's a guestion for all you CZ75 owners out there. Just bought a new CZ75BD in 9mm and would like ammo suggestions. Just looking for practice ammo at the moment.
This my first semi auto and first 9mm.
Thanks...Rich

So far I have tried Magtech, Winchester Target/Range, Lawman and another russian blue/black box and have had no problems.
I also tried Hydra-shoks, Gold Dot 124gr - (147gr will lock the slide forward and it sucks to try and get it to eject), Federal Hi-shok, and a few other brands with no probs in hollow points.
Find a box of cheap ammo and see how it works - mine has digested all but the 147gr Gold dots and not had a problem....

Sellier & Bellot ammo is what the CZ factory uses. Always a
good starting point. Some people like Blazer ammo in CZs.
I reload for 9mm so i'm not buying any 9 ammo right now.
For defensive ammo, the Speer 124 +P Gold Dot seems to
be popular. Winchester 115 gr Silvertips were the accuracy
champs in HANDGUNS testing.

my 75BD and 85 Combat. Included in this array are UMC. Winchester (white box) Sellier & Belot, Blazer, Fiocchi, and a couple of others I can't remember. All have functioned without fail in both of the aformentioned pistols. Good shooting;)

I've used Winchester whitebox 115gr FMJ and JHP. No problems.

I ran a 100-round WallyWorld bulk pack of Winchester white box through mine yesterday, and it worked just fine. Can't beat $10.97 for 100 rounds.

While the CZ will Function with the Wally world crap. You will get superior accuracy From 124gr. CCI Gold Dots, premium Remington(green box not UMC) and Sellier & Bellot.
Between you and me though go for the gold dots. You will thank me later. You can find em for as low as 12ish a box.
And for me practice means practicing accuracy. Why buy the bottom dollar crap because my bet is you don't need practice pulling the trigger.
Accuracy first, consistency second, speed third.

your pistol is worth it's weight in salt, it'll eat anything you feed it. If it won't, get rid of it.

To me, reliability first, accuracy second, everything after that. But as was said, if it's not nearly 100%, it'll be fixed under warranty. CZs and EAAs are pretty darn good guns so this shouldn't be a problem.
Winchester white box and S&B is what I shoot for practive in 9mm and 40. Blazers are OK, never had a problem in 9mm, don't really like it much for 40S&W or 45ACP.

I get two inches at 20 yards with the Winchester Wally World crap. Works for me.

Go to:

I can get 1" groups at 100 yards with this stuff.
Seriously, their factory reloads are pretty good practice ammo.
