P9s .45 target model kicks butt!

I have just purchased a .45 P9s target. The trigger on this thing is absurdly good. The best trigger ever, period. I set the sear screw (it is adjustable) and put the trigger stop in place. The reset is about 1 hair :D (shorter than any 1911, Glock or Walther I've ever shot). The weight must be around 1.5-2.5 pounds (guess). Wow.

I have always wished that they would start making that pistol again.

they are real nice and yours seems really clean :)
i had one in 9mm and sold it with the hope of getting a .45 target like yours ...it just never worked out, to my great regret
a cool trick  is to cock it on the draw with the decocking lever

Anyone else remember the character "Hunter" carring one of those with the barrel weight. I thought they were COOL then and I still do.:)
Ditto on a range report.

:)
This is the most accurate handgun I have ever owned. It is ridiculously, absurdly, frighteningly accurate. Tiny groups at 25 yards are up to you--the gun will do it. I was, frankly, shocked at how easy it was to shoot accurately with this gun. I have often said that it is usually the shooter that is the problem. This gun makes me wonder about the accuracy of other guns.
The trigger and reset is nearly nonexistent. There is no creep, or drag or anything. Take-up the slack (which is weightless) and the definition of "a glass rod breaking" is literally at your finger tip.
H&K should dust off the blue-prints, put a button mag release on it, and re-release the best target pistol ever.

as much as i'd like a "button" mag release too, i don't think it would work with the p9's polymer cover skeleton frame. the next best thing might be a "heel" release like on the psp

About 20 years ago a northern state retired all the P9's their Game Wardens had carried. I wish I'd had the foresight to pick one up then.

sadly :( the only hk's on the list are the p7, usp and p2000.
the only guns on the list are of current manufacture. purchase of used guns have to be through face to face sale :banghead:
