How many of you carry IWB as opposed to OWB...I have always thought that IWB was uncomfortable until recently I seriously gave it a try...and with the right size pants and belt and a good holster I have found it to be pretty easy...I have even given some thought to ordering a Milt Sparks for my Sig P228 and S&W66...I have found, and this may be odd, but the K Frame with a 2 1/2 barrel is more comfortable than than the auto...I am using the same holster to both...A clip on Galco the one for the 66 has a thumb break. the one fot the 228 is an open top...I have just pick up the same holster for my 220 via Ebay

For CC where The gun can't print nothing beats a good IWB, Belt system. I use Milt Sparks Versa Max most of the time. Not the most comfortable but very concealable and fairly fast if if need the firearm.

OWB Mitch Rosen 5JR clone for comfort, IWB Sparks VM-2 for concealment, and I carry a 5" Springfield 1911.

I carry a Glock 30 which isn't the thinnest of handguns in a IWB Milt Sparks VMII holster with a sturdy belt and do not have a problem. The right size pants and a well made holster and belt can make any gun comfortable to carry.

For me, IWB is the most concealable, and after you get used to it, its very comfortable. I use a Blade Tech kydex holster as I sweat like a pig and the leather never dries out. The kydex is also a lot more comfortable if your tee shirt should ride up and the holster is against your bear skin. Kydex also holds up better to hard daily use than the leather.

It's always been IWB for me. I'm carrying a single-stack now and it's like heaven. If I ever had to go back to my G29, I'd give serious thought to some kind of high-ride OWB. IWB, the little bugger just feels like a brick trying to squeeze it's way out the top of my pants.

IWB is the way to go.

I once had a nice little P239 with a Highnoon OWB holster that I carried, but found myself having to dress around it. With the IWB holster that I used (that was really made for another gun) I found that the hammer spur would dig into my side, but I didn't have to dress around it. Having a good IWB holster for it would have made it that much harder to part with. So definitely go with IWB as long as you have the right holster and big enough pants.

Around here it's no open carry :( So IWB is my choice for my Glock I have a Sidearmor 4th that works with jeans not so good with lite shorts. And a RM Holster that is very slim and quick to get on and off . For my 1911s I have Milt Sparks Versa Max IIs they are very high quality. And along with the RM Holster work well with lite shorts. Also it's very important to have a really sturdy quality belt.

I found that the hammer spur would dig into my side,

That is a side benefit for a Revolver IWB to have a thumb Break...Keep hammer spur away

Also I think some holster makers have a body shield that helps with that problem

What is a RM holster?

Maybe my pelvis is too danged boney But - IWB just does not work for me . doubt it ever will.

My favorite rig OWB is a Jim Burke hi-ride belt slide at about 3.30, containing SP-101 .. and with a vest I use much of time even in summer ... printing is no problem. Gun stays very close tucked in and is very rapidly accessible - good forward cant.

i grew up carrying a colt commander in a milt sparks summer special IWB and it would hide under anything not tucked in.

then i got older, wider and started having lower back pain. i'm sure the IWB holster wasn't the cause, but now i pretty much baby my back when i can. so...

it is now OWB holsters for me with my two favorites being an alessi ACP for my beretta 92/96 and his CQC/s for the hk p7...all it takes is a longer T-short or a light windbreaker
