Looking for a decent scope mount for the M1 Garand. Don't worry, it's a CAI receiver with Danish and Italian parts, nothing historical. One that allows me to use the irons would be nice, but not necessary.

I have had a B-Square mount on my Garand for a couple of years now. It works great. It replaces the rear sight and just clamps on to the receiver. I think it could be remachined to allow the use of the iron sights but I am not a machinest. I also have a MRT cheek pad that helps align the eye properly. I found its actually easier to use my left eye when using the scope. Pretty spendy though, I paid around $80.00 for mine.

Hope this helps...

Does it interfere with loading/unloading clips, or is it offset?

its offset to the left, never had a problem loading or firing.

To do it right you would need a Griffin & Howe scopemount, but that is a little to much for a CIA receiver.
