My ccw will up for renewal soon and the other post here about a member who was denied him ccw permit renewal based on traffic tickets it was in south carolina I think?. I only have a parking ticket and a ticket for an illegal u-turn both are on my driving record however will this be an issue when I renew my ccw permit in florida? Has anyone here renewed thair or gotten a ccw permit while having traffic violations on them and in florida do they even care about such things when issuing? The other post just got me thinking is all thanks for any input.

As long as those tickets are paid, it shouldn't matter. I'm fully aware of what prompted a query, SLED (which is SC's Concealable Weapons Permit issuing authority) will revoke permits for traffic tickets.

A friend was just issued his Florida CCW, and he has more tickets than anyone I know. Many such tickets by Florida troopers, so you should be fine.

I also forgot to mention in my post that its stupid reasons like this why I am in full support of a vermont style carry for everyone. With a vermont style carry things like this woulden't matter also if someone diddn't have enough money for a gun AND training classes and permit fees which can run into hundreds of dollars in some states they woulden't be "priced" out of thair right to self defense.
